The Warrior Emperor & China's Terracotta Army at the Royal Ontario Museum

The exhibit follows key moments in history before, during and after the lifetime of Ying Zheng and features over 250 artifacts from the first millennium BC. Many items on display are on loan from more than a dozen archaeological institutes and museums in Shaanxi Province. The full-sized terracotta figures and artifacts are the largest collection related to the Warrior Emperor ever displayed in North America. Nearly a third of the artifacts on display have never been shown outside of China, and some have never been publicly displayed anywhere. read more

This year marks the 21st anniversary of the festival and hosting the event is Man Booker Prize award-winning author Yann Martel. There are three new stages this year.
