What’s Happening at Toronto Pearson

Luminato

Toronto Pearson International Airport has partnered with the Luminato Festival to present two installations as part of Toronto Pearson’s Arts and Entertainment Program. This partnership connects the airport to one of the city’s premier cultural festivals. Guests arriving to and departing from Toronto can experience a taste of Luminato steps from their terminal.

Signal to Noise

S/N (Signal to Noise) is created by the Belgium-based collective Lab[au] (Manuel Abendroth, Jérôme Decock and Els Vermang) The installation is constructed from an assortment of discarded technology and salvaged split flaps, components from the information displays that predated LED monitors in public spaces like airports and train stations.

Delightful and Permanent Conditions of Impossibility and Surfaceworks

Created by the Toronto-based collective Blue Republic (Anna Passakas and Radoslaw Kudlinski) the two-part installation is installed at Toronto Pearson International Airport and at Brookfield Place in downtown Toronto. The airport project includes photo-based work and text interventions.
