Caribbean Carnival at Toronto Pearson

Get your feathers ready for a festival of sounds and colors in the terminals!
Tuesday, July 31, 2012 from 3pm to 5pm at Toronto Pearson International Airport.

Toronto Pearson is celebrating the Scotiabank Toronto Caribbean Carnival with our guests at our terminals! Watch out for a special parade with live dancing, music, colorful costumes, and surprise giveaways!

With performances by:

  • The Bahamian Junkanoo Legends - drums, horns, bells and more in Carnival costumes.
  • Pan Man Pat - a mobile steel pan player who wears the pan while playing.
  • Dancers in full Carnival parade costumes - feathers, sequins, the works. It should be a dazzling sight!

 

45 Years and Still Jumpin'

Formerly Caribana, the Scotiabank Toronto Caribbean Carnival hits the streets and stages of Toronto this summer for its 43rd year, featuring events that celebrate the music, cuisine and arts of the Caribbean region.

This popular event features some of the biggest highlights of the summer including the Caribana Grand Parade, Annual Gala and the new tent villages.

Known for drawing close to a million spectators in past years, the Caribbean Carnival is the largest cultural festival of its kind in North America.

In 2012, Scotiabank Caribbean Carnival Toronto season is destined to be six (6) weeks culminating in the pinnacle of Parade Day on the Lakeshore with a kaleidoscope of music, colourful costumes, theatrical mas band displays, steel bands beating intricate orchestrations coupled with mouthwatering feasts of Caribbean cuisine and delicacies.
